Zoos are becoming facsimiles - or perhaps caricatures - of how animals once were in their natural habitat. If the right policies toward nature were pursued, we would need no zoos at all.
Giant Anteaters kept in zoo's have their diets altered. Keeping that many ants in one place is asking for trouble! And it's expensive and difficult to maintain. Often keepers simulate nests. So they have an insect and fruit paste ready for the Anteaters to lick up. A favorite place to hide this mixture is inside logs.
Also, the more you're not focused on showbiz and instead focused on life, learning about other people, and keeping your eyes open and trying to be aware of the world.
